STOP THE GUN GRAB IN NEW MEXICO!

Anti-gun lawmakers are at it again this year, blatantly attacking law-abiding gun owners by pushing measures that do nothing to stop the real issue of gun violence.  We have already seen a laundry list of extremist gun control proposals that would make Biden and Bloomberg proud. We know that we will see more!

We ask that you sign the petition below and help stop the gun grab in New Mexico. To further this cause, it is imperative that you contact your State Representatives and your State Senators, and urge them to OPPOSE HB 9, HB 50, HB 72, HB 100, HB 101, HB 224,HB 238, SB 44, SB 116 and SB 171, and any other new gun control laws. Your NRA-ILA will be fighting these measures at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe along with many other pro-Second Amendment supporters, but we also need YOU to fully engage in the critical effort to protect your Second Amendment rights in the Land of Enchantment.

I, a VOTER and resident of New Mexico, respectfully urge you to OPPOSE all anti-gun proposals being pushed by the lawmakers in our state. 

I thank you for your consideration and will be keeping track of what your response and vote for these, and all anti-gun measures, will be.

    The FBI’s data on deaths caused by rifles proves that knives kill 7x more people than all rifles including hunting, AR and AK platforms etc. do your research before creating unnecessary legislation.

    I am absolutely appalled that my state’s legislators think they can turn hard working Americans and residents into criminals just because they don’t like guns or because they are just wanting a vote from a certain demographic. Our state’s constitution even says that no legislature, municipality or committee shall infringe on my constitutional right to carry and does not even stipulate how much I am allowed to carry. Especially when it also says that it is my right to carry for hunting, sporting and defending myself.

    I am a registered Democrat and I vote. Infringement on our rights falls under both ex post facto and the recent Bruen decision by the Supreme Court. Should you mistakenly pass this legislation, you will face a lawsuit that will cost NM a large sum and ultimately, you will lose. Performative actions like this are obtuse and useless. Stop now before you cost NM a fortune and Democratic governmental control. Angry citizens vote.

    Prosecute criminals under existing laws. These new laws won’t impact criminals. They will only make criminals out of law abiding citizens. NM’s 940K + gun owners need to stand up together to defeat all the bad gun legislation proposed or we will become criminals under this regime.

    These bills do nothing but harm law-abiding citizens. Put your effort into stopping illegal gun sales, mental health issues. Drunk driving kills more people a year than mass shootings, but we don’t see law makers making beer illegal, or you need a license and can only buy a 6-pack per week. I got my hunter safety card when I was 12 years of age and had to complete a gun safety class before I was allowed to carry a rifle to go hunting with my dad and grandpa in Montana. That I would not be apposed too as there are people that have never been hunting or taught proper gun safety and storage.

    How about starting to enforce all the gun laws first, determine the gaps and start there, not this insanity!!! CA has a 2 week wait to purchase a firearm, and they have mass shootings all the time, new gun laws have to Make SENSE.

    Gun bans do nothing to curb violence. Stop the people committing violence whether its a gun, knife, hammer, bat, and get them off the streets or committed, you get the picture.
