STOP THE GUN GRAB IN NEW MEXICO!

Anti-gun lawmakers are at it again this year, blatantly attacking law-abiding gun owners by pushing measures that do nothing to stop the real issue of gun violence.  We have already seen a laundry list of extremist gun control proposals that would make Biden and Bloomberg proud. We know that we will see more!

We ask that you sign the petition below and help stop the gun grab in New Mexico. To further this cause, it is imperative that you contact your State Representatives and your State Senators, and urge them to OPPOSE HB 9, HB 50, HB 72, HB 100, HB 101, HB 224,HB 238, SB 44, SB 116 and SB 171, and any other new gun control laws. Your NRA-ILA will be fighting these measures at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe along with many other pro-Second Amendment supporters, but we also need YOU to fully engage in the critical effort to protect your Second Amendment rights in the Land of Enchantment.

I, a VOTER and resident of New Mexico, respectfully urge you to OPPOSE all anti-gun proposals being pushed by the lawmakers in our state.

I thank you for your consideration and will be keeping track of what your response and vote for these, and all anti-gun measures, will be.

Will you sign?

Keep our rights to bear arms free and legal at all costs. Criminals don’t obey laws, gun grabs do nothing to protect law abiding citizens.

When only criminals have firearms, you have anarchy and dead politicians and dead innocent civilians. The politicians get to tell the LORD why all these people were killed.

Use the money you’re going to be spending fighting lawsuits to hiring more police offers and improving the judicial system.

Please do not infringe on our God given right to defend ourselves and our loved ones or to enjoy our enthusiasm for the sport. Instead focus on those who break the laws using a gun and leave the law abiding citizens alone!!

Legislation that turns law abiding citizens into criminals is the most counterintuitive and counterproductive way to reduce crime I think anyone could invent. Perhaps passing legislation that keeps criminals in jail is the most effective and efficient use of taxpayer funds and legislative energy for New Mexico.

I have been attending the committee meetings and commenting via Zoom.

The sponsor said that they don’t check constitutionality. Does not meet SCOTUS/Bruen. They tabled 5-bills increasing punishments for Criminals submitted by the Republican Reps. They tabled a bill to hold violent criminals in jail and force them to prove there is no harm to releasing them. The Dem mantra is now that the criminals are the victims. The DA’s public defender rep said that its understandable that fentanyl dealers carry guns because its a dangerous job!! Ref HB101, the sponsor convinced the HCPAC committee to approve the HB 101 amendment without seeing it and described the amendment that she was to include i.e…removing 50 caliber references and adding a Registry. But instead, she re-wrote the entire bill and added many new aspects including flash suppressors and over 51 references to 50 caliber regulations. This was a totally dishonest procedural move. Because of this move, the judiciary committee should not be reviewing the HB101 as the HCPAC committee voted to pass a bill they had not seen based on what they were told was in it! The whole bill is written around cosmetic descriptions of the “Assault Weapon” which is totally against the SCOTUS Bruen decision. Judge Benetez is soon to rule on Miller V Bonta in CA. Newsome is scared and thinks CA will lose this suit.
