Self-defense is a fundamental right. The U.S. constitution, the constitutions of 44 states, common law, and the laws of all states recognize the right to use arms in self-defense. Right to Carry laws respect this right by allowing individuals to carry firearms for protection.
Unfortunately, a concealed weapons permit issued in one state isn't always recognized by other states. So when you travel, you'll have to research the laws in every state you'll be driving through. And if you drive through a state that doesn't recognize your permit, you will be unable to carry your weapon to protect yourself while outside your car.
