Dear Illinois NRA Member:                                                            

This year, anti-gun legislators tried to criminalize private transfers and increase the burdens to receive a FOID by multiplying the cost, requiring fingerprinting, and requiring applications be made in person. Though their gun control package did not pass in the regular session, they are not done. When the General Assembly convenes this fall for the veto session, they will renew their efforts to dismantle our rights.
