The push for preemption is back in Nebraska with the filing of Legislative Bill 68! LB 68, sponsored by state Senator Mike Hilgers (21), will help protect the Second Amendment rights of all Nebraskans by creating a preemption statute to ensure that firearm and ammunition laws remain consistent across the Cornhusker State.  This much-needed legislation will prevent a complex patchwork of regulations across the state that makes it difficult for responsible firearm owners to ensure they are following the law. 

A similar bill passed out of the Judiciary Committee last session, but was filibustered on the Senate floor in a move to kill the bill and prevent a legitimate vote on the bill. This year we have an opportunity to push early for its passage and prevent the anti-gun lobby from using these types of legislative tactics to kill the bill. Sign the petition telling your state senators "I want preemption in Nebraska" and forward it on to your family, friends, and other Second Amendment supporters!
